Carbonado/Fairfax Fun Run and Social

Take SR165 from Buckley/Orting to Carbonado. Parking lot will be on the right as you come to a slight corner. GPS Coordinates 47.080161, -122.047703 If you get to the Fairfax bridge you have gone to far. This is the western end of the abandoned rail line, and it is owned by Pierce County Parks. No parking permits required. Enjoy a wide dirt/mud run. It is approximately 5 miles to the Fairfax bridge. From here you can continue on a couple more miles before the trail becomes rooted and turns into a single track. Trail can be extremely muddy depending on the weather. So be prepared.
